Exchange Students

AN EXCHANGE STUDENT IS:

• A student who is enrolled at a university with a formal exchange agreement with the University of Alberta. Exchange students who apply for residence by April 30th are guaranteed a space.

A VISITING STUDENT (NON-EXCHANGE) IS:

• Enrolled at another university and has been approved to attend the University of Alberta for one term or one academic year. The purpose is usually to receive credit that can be transferred back to their degree at their home institution. They are not part of a formal exchange agreement and pay tuition fees at the University of Alberta.

International Visiting Student Program (IVSP) STUDENT MUST:

• Be registered in a degree program in a university outside of Canada, AND;
• Have written consent from their university to participate in the program.
